Chapter 7. Elevator
‘Tick tick’ the pointer pointed to nine o'clock, but at this time there was no one at work. Yi Ruo stood in front of the elevator, thinking that a week of ignoring Shen Xi was enough. She just needed to let him know that she had not meant it that day. If it went on any longer, they would really become estranged.
Watching the elevator coming down from the 31st floor as usual, Yi Ruo stood there waiting for the elevator to arrive.
‘Ding.’
The elevator opened. Shen Xi inside saw that Yi Ruo seemed to be about to step back, and couldn't help but say, "Come in."
Yi Ruo looked at Shen Xi, pursed her lips and walked in, walked to the corner on the far right and lowered her head without saying a word.
The elevator closed and both of them remained silent.
An atmosphere of silence spread between the two.
Yi Ruo was thinking about how to break the coldness, but before she could think about it, the elevator suddenly shook.
Yi Ruo wanted to hold the handle but missed it. She was wearing high heels and the shock of the elevator twisted her foot and she fell to the ground. At this moment the elevator swung to a stop, but at the same moment the lights went out.
"Ah..." she cried softly.
Shen Xi hurriedly squatted down and groped his way towards Yi Ruo. He was afraid of stepping on Yi Ruo so he didn't dare to move. Fortunately, the elevator was not big, and he found Yi Ruo after a while. He asked softly, "What's wrong? Are you hurt?"
Then, he gently helped Yi Ruo into his arms. Yi Ruo cried out softly, "I think I sprained my foot."
"Let me see." Shen Xi touched Yi Ruo's foot and touched her ankle, pressed lightly, and listened to Yi Ruo's cry, "It's just a minor sprain, it's okay, I'll press the emergency button and contact someone first, don't move." After that, he stood up and fumbled for the button in the elevator. Then, as if he remembered something, he reached into his trouser pocket, picked up his mobile phone, and turned on the flashlight.
Yi Ruo looked at him and chuckled, thinking that he must have been frightened by her and his brain was a little confused.
Shen Xi also heard Yi Ruo's laughter and felt a little embarrassed. After a while, a customer service representative responded. After listening to Shen Xi's feedback and informing him of the precautions, the maintenance worker on the sidewalk had already gone off work and would arrive in about half an hour to an hour. He told them not to panic and that there would be no danger in the elevator.
Shen Xi listened to the customer service and answered patiently to end the conversation. He sat down again and shone the light on Yi Ruo's ankle. Seeing that it was only slightly swollen, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Seeing that his phone only had 5% battery left, Shen Xi turned off the light with a frown on his face and looked at Yi Ruo,
"Does your phone still have power?"
Yi Ruo picked up the phone and checked the battery, only to find that it had only 7% left. Shen Xi saw it but said nothing. He smiled as if to ease the atmosphere and said, "It seems that not charging your phone after work is a bad habit."
Yi Ruo listened to his words and smiled, and the atmosphere between them relaxed a little. She leaned on his shoulder, feeling his breath, and thought of the scene when he kissed her passionately that day, which was just as hot as this.
"I'm sorry." Shen Xi's low voice came to my ear.
Yi Ruo was stunned for a moment, and asked calmly, "Why?"
"That day, it was my fault. You were confused, but I was still awake. I'm sorry."
Hearing Shen Xi's voice, which was as gentle as ever but couldn't hide his guilt, Yi Ruo slightly curled her lips and said in a soft voice, "No, it was you who saved me, otherwise, I don't know what the consequences of being left on the roadside that day would be. These days I just... I just didn't know how to face you, afraid that you would think I..." Yi Ruo paused for a while, "I'm that kind of casual woman."
Shen Xi paused slightly after hearing what Yi Ruo said, and said with a smile, "How could that be, what are you thinking about?"
Yi Ruo smiled and said, "Then let's not ignore each other, okay? I've been feeling so uncomfortable these days." After that, Yi Ruo frowned uncomfortably.
Shen Xi was silent for a moment, then said with a smile, "You are the bad guy who complained first."
Yi Ruo also smiled after hearing that, and the two began to chat. The alienation that had surrounded them for a week also disappeared at this time.

Shen Xi parked the car in front of the door, got out of the car and helped Yi Ruo walk slowly to the door. Watching Yi Ruo walk in, Shen Xi picked up the medicine he had just bought and handed it to her, saying, "Apply it twice a day, every day, don't forget."
Yi Ruo took it, nodded, and said gently, "I know, thank you today."
"Okay. Then I'm leaving, good night."
"Good night."
The car drove away from the residential area, Yi Ruo retracted her gaze and took the bottle into the house.
The other side
Back in the apartment, Shen Xi looked at his phone with no missed calls, was silent for a moment, plugged in the phone with 1% battery left, and walked into the bathroom.
A low panting sound came from the bathroom. The man in the room supported the wall with one hand and slid his desire up and down with the other hand, thinking of his wife's face and stroking his hardness, but he didn't know when, his wife's face changed to another pretty one. She panted, arched her body and pushed her nipples slightly towards himself.
Shen Xi roared and shot out the white liquid, looking at the marks on the wall, lowered his head and leaned against the back wall, his eyes were deep and his mind was unpredictable.
